Tippecanoe School Corporation, Lafayette, Indiana has been a district on the move for the past several years. As rapid population growth crowded classrooms, the district has responded by opening new facilities on an annual basis. They also responded by engaging Techedvise to engineer a technology strategy for the new and existing school facilities.

Two of the recently completed facilities include separate facilities on the two High School campuses. These facilities are identical with the exception of the student population. The McCutcheon Academic Center is utilized for at risk alternative students while the Harrison Academic Center is utilized for accelerated students.

Project: Battle Ground Middle School

Size: 166,400 square feet

Highlights: Overall Technology planning & design. IPTV, Voice over IP, IP based security and audio/visual design.

Tippecanoe School Corporation, Lafayette, Indiana, is opening its newest middle school facility, Battle Ground Middle School, to start the 2008-2009 school year. Due to the continual population growth a new middle school was required on the north side of the district boundaries to accommodate the student population. Techedvise was engaged to work with locally based architect firm, Scholer Corporation, to provide overall technology planning and design.

Every classroom is equipped with a sound amplification system, interactive white board and projector for student/teacher interaction. An IPTV based video system was designed to provide streaming media to all users throughout the facility. In addition a centralized Voice over IP solution was designed to provide future scalability throughout the district with additional facilities.

Project: Technology Center

Size: 20,000 square feet

Highlights: Overall Technology planning & design. Voice over IP and audio/visual design.

The recently opened Technology Center on the Administration Campus of Tippecanoe School Corporation in Lafayette, Indiana provides the district with a centralized technology department for staffing and professional development opportunities. The new facility contains a new data center, office space, conference rooms and a training lab. Techedvise provided the technology planning and design for this exciting new facility.

The data center provides the district a location for centralizing numerous services that impact the entire district. In addition the district is implementing a fiber optic network throughout the county to connect all educational facilities.

Project: Woodland Elementary

Size: 86,000 square feet

Due to the continual population growth a new elementary school was required on the south side of the district boundaries to accommodate the student population.
